Description: This herb has a well-pronounced calming effect, thanks to which it is used to normalize the functions of the central nervous system. It is especially suitable for anxiety, headache, stress, insomnia and depressive states. It also regulates heart activity – reduces heartbeat and lowers blood pressure. It also works well for women – for menstrual pain, uterine infections, symptoms related to menopause, endocrine system problems, etc.

Purpose: Recommended as a general strengthening agent, biologically active food supplement. Additional source of magnesium and vitamins A, C, B6, flavonoids, saponins.

Usage: the product can be used in the form of an aqueous extract (extract): one tablespoon of chopped herb is poured with 200 ml of boiling water, allowed to cool, then strained and taken twice a day, 50 ml after meals. (Leonurus Cardiaca)

Synonyms: deaf nettle, devil’s mouth, heart grass, dog nettle, lion’s tail, etc.

Perennial plant with a height of 0.3 to 2 meters, the stem is hairy. It grows in deserted places, hence the name “hermitage”. It is widespread in Europe and Asia, Siberia and the Caucasus. The use of the herb is known in ancient Tibetan medicine, it has long been used in Latin America and Europe. It has been used in Russia since the 15th century.

Composition – a unique composition of essential oils, valuable acids, the strongest vitamins – antioxidants A, E and C, many minerals, sugars, alkaloids, flavonoids (rutin, quercetin), which strengthen the cardiovascular system, tannins with a bactericidal effect, glycosides that eliminate arrhythmia, reduce the pulse (stahydrim), and phytoncides have an antimicrobial effect.

Use – an important quality of the herb is its calming effect, stronger than the effect of valerian. This makes the herb good for treating nervous disorders, high excitability, insomnia and chronic fatigue. It is also used for epilepsy, paralysis and neuralgia; it is widely used for disorders in the work of the heart and blood vessels, lowers high blood pressure, improves the condition of myocarditis and angina, normalizes the heart rhythm. It successfully protects against stress, which affects cardiac activity. The herb improves the condition in hyperfunction of the thyroid gland. It is useful for women with disorders during menopause and after menopause, as well as during pregnancy (after consulting a doctor). It is known to improve urine output, suitable for the treatment of kidney and urinary tract diseases, external and internal bleeding, normalizes the cholesterol content in the blood, has a positive effect on metabolism. It has a positive effect on stomach and duodenal ulcers; it is recommended for inflammation of the lungs, asthma, cough and shortness of breath. It strengthens immunity, slows down the aging of the body. The herb can also be used externally for wounds and damaged skin, as it has an antibacterial effect. It is also used for acne and enlarged pores. For oily hair, rinsing with an extract of the herb is recommended. It can also be used as an extract for sweating feet, eliminating the unpleasant odor.

Contraindications: bradycardia and others.

Recipe 1) General recipe. 15 grams of the chopped herb is poured with 1 cup of boiling water, left until cool and strained. Take 2 tbsp. 3 times a day.

Recipe 2) For arrhythmia – 2 teaspoons of the herb are poured with 400 ml of cooled boiled water, left for 6-8 hours and strained. Take 50 ml 3-4 times a day 30 minutes before meals.

Recipe 3) For cardiosclerosis – 1 tbsp. chopped herb is poured with 200 ml. boiling water, left for 8 hours and strained. Take 1 tbsp. 3 times a day before meals.

Recipe 4) For diabetes insipidus – 1-2 tbsp. of the herb is poured with 200 ml of boiling water, left for 1 hour and strained. Take 70-100 ml 3 times a day.

Recipe 5) For stomach colic – 15 g of the herb is poured with 200 ml of boiling water, left for 2 hours and strained. Take 1 tbsp. 3-5 times a day, 50 ml in a warm state.

Recipe 6) For diffuse toxic fever – 1 tbsp. of chopped herb is poured with 100 ml of boiling water, left until cool and strained. Take 60 ml in a warm state 3 times a day.

Recipe 7) For improving vision, postpartum recovery, paralysis and paresis – 15 g of the chopped herb is poured with 200 ml of boiling water, left for 40 minutes and strained. Take 1 tbsp. 3 times a day.

Recipe 8) For an irregular menstrual cycle – 1 tbsp. herb is poured with 2 cups of cooled boiled water, left for 7 hours and strained. Take ¼ cup 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals.

Recipe 9) For increased nervous excitement, 15 g of herb is poured with 1 cup of boiling water, left for 30 minutes and strained. Take 1 tbsp. 3-5 times a day.

Recipe 10) For epilepsy – 2 tbsp. herb is poured with 500 ml of boiling water, left for 2 hours in a thermos and strained. Take 50 ml 4 times a day, before meals.

Recipe 11) Tea – has a sedative and hypnotic effect. It is used for fright and fear. 2 teaspoons (without tip) of the herb are poured with ¼ liter of boiling water, left for 10 minutes and strained. Take 1 cup 1 time a day (drink at once) or drink in sips during the day.

Recipe 12) Cold (extract), palpitations, hypertension, Mener syndrome (stopping the rapid heartbeat), myocardiopathy (makes exhalation difficult) 20 g of the herb is poured with 100 ml of vodka (Russian) and left for 2-3 weeks in the dark, periodically stirred and strained. Take 30-40 drops 3-4 times a day.
