Swamp mint (whole stalk) – Mentha pulegium herba

Dried herb – 20 g.

Purpose: The above-ground parts of this plant are rich in essential oil (up to 1.5%), tannins, glycosides, saponins, etc. Thanks to them, the herb has an antispasmodic (prevents spasms), soothing, choleretic and disinfecting effect

It is used in the form of tea for colds, whooping cough, bronchitis, headaches, menstrual cramps and pain, as well as for atony (swelling) of the stomach, to improve digestion.

Preparation: 1 tablespoon of chopped herb is poured with 400 ml of boiling water, left for 20-30 minutes to infuse, after which the resulting infusion is strained. The finished decoction is stored in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days.

Application: Internally – drink 100 ml before meals, 2-3 times a day. Externally – for inhalations against colds and bronchitis.

Contraindications: Do not take by PREGNANT and nursing mothers, children under 14 years of age, as well as in case of individual intolerance to the product. Do not use as a substitute for a varied diet. Before use, it is advisable to consult a specialist.
